1. Use Social Media– Your business should be active on social media because it is a great way to reach new and current customers and you can market your business for free. You can join Twitter and Tweet about things related to your business and you can set up a page on LinkedIn to connect with other business professionals.
As a rule of thumb, join 3-4 social media sites. Work daily to build your followers up and feel free to pay to advertise on the sites you create a profile on. This will help get the word out about your business faster and you’ll reach quite a few people. It’s also important to consider search engine optimization (SEO) for your business’ website but that is a whole other topic we will discuss another day. You may need to talk with an internet marketer first to determine if you need search engine optimization or not.
2. Create A Blog– Keep your main website, but create a separate blog and update it at least 3-4 times per week. The content can be anything related to your business, such as industry news, sales you’ll be putting on in the future and so forth. Make sure each post you publish is optimize for the search engines (SEO) because you want your blog posts to be indexed by Google and others, and found by people who are looking for what your business offers. If your blog can rank high in the search results, then you’ll enjoy getting a lot of traffic to your site.
Many businesses don’t think having a blog is necessary. However, if you’re serious about marketing your business on the internet, then you need a blog. If you post regularly, then eventually people will find your blog and share your content, which will lead to more exposure.
3. It’s All About Video– Another great way to market your business online is via video, so make sure you join YouTube and publish a video there at least 1-2 times per week. Create a video or two for Facebook too, as well as for Instagram. The videos you create should be short and relate to your business. You can discuss anything about your business or you can showcase new products you’re selling or a new service you’re offering.
Make sure you share your videos to all your social media accounts. All it takes is one video to go viral to have a huge impact. If you can manage to get a video to go viral, then the results can be tremendous.

When it’s done the right way, then you can reap many benefits, such as increased sales, brand awareness, more followers on social media, build your email list and much more.
